
DR ALLIE HARE
Dr Allie Hare is a consultant in sleep and respiratory medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where she treats private and NHS patients.

Dr Allie is the President of the British Sleep Society and the Honorary Treasurer of the British Thoracic Society.
​
Dr Allie graduated from Selwyn College, University of Cambridge in 1999, and completed her postgraduate training at Imperial College London in 2002. She trained in London at St Mary’s Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.

In 2013, Dr Allie completed a Master’s in clinical education and was awarded a distinction for her work on the assessment of clinical competence. As part of the prestigious Darzi Fellowship scheme, she undertook postgraduate training in medical leadership and management.
She has a Masters in Medical Education, a PGCert in Medical Leadership and has been made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
She led the national review of outpatient sleep medicine pathways and in 2025, she was awarded a National Clinical Impact Award in recognition of the national importance of her work in sleep and respiratory medicine.
Her advice on sleep has been featured amongst others, in British Vogue, the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Robb Report, the Wall Street Journal, The Sunday Times and on the BBC.
She works with a number of corporate organisations, supporting sleep wellbeing, and has advised athletes and sporting organisations, including Formula 1 teams. She speaks regularly in the corporate world on the importance of sleep for health, wellbeing and work productivity.

She has trained in cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTi) at the University of Oxford and in Edinburgh.

Dr Hare is able to offer patients a number of treatments to improve their symptoms, including:
cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBTi)
continuous positive airways pressure (CPAP) for sleep apnoea
medical therapies for restless legs and the periodic limb movement disorder
​
As an expert in sleep, she also speaks regularly in the corporate world on the importance of sleep for health, wellbeing and work productivity.
